BC PNP has opened registration for the Temporary Rural/Remote Health Support Initiative. This update may help some workers in rural and remote health support roles in British Columbia explore a pathway through the BC Provincial Nominee Program.

On June 15, 2026, the Government of British Columbia announced that the BC Provincial Nominee Program is now accepting registrations for this temporary initiative. The province says up to 250 candidates may be nominated, and the first invitation will be issued in the coming weeks.

Registration is scheduled to close on 2026/08/31 at 11:59 pm. Since the initiative is temporary and nominations are limited, potential applicants should act promptly.

What BC PNP announced

The June 15 announcement confirms that registrations are now open for the Temporary Rural/Remote Health Support Initiative. The announcement is brief, but it contains important information for workers and employers in British Columbia.

BC PNP says applications will be assessed against the criteria and policies in place at the time of submission. This means applicants should not rely only on the announcement. They should review the applicable program guide, understand the eligibility criteria, and make sure their information and supporting documents are accurate before moving forward.

Who may benefit from this initiative?

This initiative may be relevant to some workers already engaged in health support work in rural or remote communities in British Columbia. However, not every health support worker will necessarily qualify.

Applicants may need to consider several factors, including their occupation, employer, work location, wage, immigration status, job offer, and supporting documents. A person may appear to fit the general idea of the initiative but still face issues under the detailed BC PNP criteria.

BC PNP assessment form

Parsai Immigration Services has created an assessment form for people who believe this initiative may apply to them. The form helps us understand your employment, work location, immigration status, and other relevant details.

Completing the form does not guarantee eligibility. It also does not guarantee an invitation, nomination, or permanent residence. However, it provides the information we need to conduct an initial review and determine whether this pathway is worth exploring.

Complete the assessment form.

If you think this initiative may apply to you, please complete the form below. Provide complete and accurate information. This helps us review your situation more efficiently.

Why timing matters

The registration deadline is 2026/08/31 at 11:59 pm. Waiting until the final days may create avoidable problems, especially if documents are missing or if the details of the job offer need to be reviewed.

If this BC PNP initiative may apply to you, complete the assessment form as soon as possible. After we receive your information, we can review whether there may be a meaningful next step.
