According to Transport Canada, there has been an increase of COVID-19 positive test results in travellers arriving from Morocco.
It is important to note that Canada monitors the epidemiological situation both in Canada and internationally.
Travel from Morocco via an indirect route
Transport Canada also mentioned that passengers who travel to Canada from Morocco via an indirect route will need to obtain a pre-departure negative COVID-19 test from a third country. Of course, these travellers need to obtain their results before continuing their journey to Canada.

On the other hand, travellers who have previously tested positive must provide proof of a positive test conducted between 14 and 180 days prior to departure. This proof must be obtained in a third country before the continuation of the journey. Please be aware that you might need to seek entry and stay in a third country for at least 14 days.
– Some countries do not allow entry or transit from passengers arriving from Morocco or from passengers who have previously tested positive to COVID-19.
– COVID-19 testing might not be available in all international airports or third countries.
– If you test positive during transit, you may be quarantined or sent back to your point of departure.
– Canada is planning to let in fully vaccinated international travellers for non-essential reasons starting on September 7, 2021.
