Express entry draw January 2023

First Express Entry Draw of The Year: 5,500 candidates invited – CRS score 507

5,500 candidates were invited to apply for permanent residence in the first Express Entry draw of 2023. On this occasion, Canada increased the number of invitations, but it also increased the CRS score.

The January 11th draw didn’t target a specific program. This means that candidates from the Canadian experience class (CEC)Federal skilled worker class (FSWP), and Federal Skilled Trades (FSTP) were eligible to be invited. Moreover, invited candidates had a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 507 points. It is 16 points more than the previous draw.

In this round, the tie-break rule applied to candidates who submitted their profiles before December 06, 2022 11:00:07 UTC. Invited candidates now have 60 days to apply for Canadian Permanent Residence.
