OINP expression of interest system is now open for In-Demand Skills stream
Ontario’s Expression of Interest system is now open for intake to the Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills stream.
If you are part of the EOI system you can be considered for Ontario immigration at any time. The Ontario Program ranks candidates’ profiles based on its scoring matrix. It takes into account:
- Work experience
- Intended destination in Ontario among other factors.
The purpose of this program is to support candidates who have the skills and experience to succeed in Ontario’s labour market.
First, you must carefully review the relevant website pages to ensure that you meet all stream criteria before registering an expression of interest. If you meet with the criteria you can:
- Create a profile in the OINP e-Filing Portal
- Read the applicant requirements for your stream and ensure that you are eligible
- Register an expression of interest for one or more streams
And remember, the information you provide in your expression of interest must be accurate at the time you register or update your expression of interest.
Once you have registered an expression of interest you don’t need to contact the program. If you are invited to apply, the program will contact you or your representative with instructions. Also, you will receive a notification in the OINP e-Filing Portal.
It is important to note that a registration does not guarantee that you will be invited to apply. In the same way, an invitation to apply does not guarantee you will receive a certificate of nomination
Remember! Your expression of interest registration is valid for: up to 12 months, until you receive an invitation to apply or you withdraw your registration. After 12 months your expression of interest will automatically be deleted.
The OINP expects to open the expression of interest system for the Masters Graduate and PhD Graduate streams in the near future.
