Important update for Ontario Express Entry candidates
This week, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) released important information for Express Entry candidates and Expression of Interest candidates. The information consisted of instructions for submitting complete PNP applications at the time of application submission. Of course, we will explain to you these changes in detail.
Ontario updates for Express Entry and Expression of Interest candidates
Express Entry candidates
If you are applying under an EE stream and have foreign education, you will need an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA). Of course, the World Education Services (WES) is the organization that issues this credential. According to the province, you must authorize WES to share a copy of your ECA with them.
Further, to authorize WES to share your ECA results, you must order an ‘Additional Report’ and select the OINP as the recipient of the ECA.
Authorizing WES with IRCC is not sufficient for applying for a provincial nomination from Ontario.
If candidates do not provide a copy of their ECA report and authorize WES to share the results with the OINP, the application might be return as incomplete. Therefore, applicants will lose the opportunity to apply to the program unless they receive a new notification of interest.
Expression of Interest candidates
According to the province, these applicants should also submit a complete application that complies with program criteria at the time of application submission.
If you are applying under an Employer Job Offer stream, you must submit a PDF copy of the Attestation Form. Moreover, you have to print, sign personally in ink, and upload the copy. You should upload the copy to the “Other” tab under Supporting Documents.

Like the Express Entry candidates, if you don’t provide a signed PDF copy of your attestation form, your application will be returned as incomplete.
