Ontario invites 546 candidates under 3 different categories

On October 20, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) invited 542 candidates eligible under the Masters Graduate and PhD Graduate streams. In addition, the OINP issued 4 invitations to candidates who may qualify for the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker stream. Here’s the cut-off score for this draw:

Apart from this, OINP also shared special information for Masters Graduate applicants to prevent delays in processing. The info conveyed that applicants should ensure that they provide support for each scoring factor.

For example, applicants must submit an employment/work experience reference letter(s) from Canadian employer(s) with a description of job duties. In addition, they may also submit supporting documents that describe their duties and responsibilities including job descriptions, performance reviews, and job advertisements. About the Employer Job Offer

The Employer Job Offer (Foreign Worker and International Student) are immigration streams under the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). Moreover, it gives foreign workers with a job offer in a skilled occupation the opportunity to apply for a nomination from the OINP to permanently live and work in Ontario.

Foreign Worker Stream

  • You need to accumulate the equivalent of two years of work experience in a skilled occupation,
  • of course, you need to have an eligible job offer in Ontario
  • you must also intend to immigrate to the province
  • among other requirements.

Further, if you want to apply for this Provincial Nominee Program (PNPs), you must register an EOI profile on the Ontario website. After registering your profile, it will go into the EOI pool. Moreover, Ontario will give you a score based on the information you submit.

About the Masters Graduate and PhD Graduate streams

The Masters Graduate and PhD Graduate streams give international graduates the opportunity to apply for a nomination from the OINP to permanently live and work in Ontario. Although, you can only apply if you first register an expression of interest and are issued an invitation to apply.

General requirements

  • Be a recent graduate with a Masters or PhD degree from an eligible Ontario university.
  • Have at least one full academic year of a Masters program, or at least two years of PhD studies. Of course, the studies must have been completed in Ontario.
  • Candidates eligible under the Masters Graduate stream must demonstrate language proficiency at a minimum CLB 7 in each area. Also, it has to be an eligible French or English language exam.
  • Applicants must have resided in Ontario for at least one year of the past two years. Masters graduates must also be living in Ontario with legal status at the time of applying.
  • You must have enough money to support yourself and your dependent family members when you settle in Canada.
  • Further, candidates applying under the Masters or PhD Graduate streams are not required to have a job offer. However, applicants must demonstrate proof that they have sufficient funds to settle in Ontario.
